Rebuilding Hope in Muriet

Zinduka Juhodi Nursery – A Place for the Youngest Learners

In 2023, a powerful storm struck Muriet, Tanzania, leaving the Zinduka Juhodi Nursery—built in 2004—cracked, sinking, and unsafe. The building had to be demolished entirely. With nowhere else to house the children, the Zinduka Women’s Center turned to Bridges Ministry for help.

Thanks to emergency funding, a new nursery was built in under a year. It’s larger, safer, and filled with joyful children—some as young as four—who now have space to run, play, and prepare for Class 1.

As Sister Christine shares in the video:
“This is a great work of Bridges Ministry. They came to our rescue… We are really very grateful, whatever the case.”

🚧 What’s Still Needed
The nursery is in use, but far from complete:

No ceiling has been installed
Windows are temporary and cannot open or close
Doors and final finishes remain unfunded
The contractor is still waiting, hopeful that the remaining funds will come through. The Zinduka Women’s Center has helped where possible, but additional support is urgently needed.
